Overview

Join Virginia Housing and help make a difference as a Business Continuity Officer.

This important role will be responsible for safeguarding Virginia Housing’s critical operations by leading the development, implementation, and testing of Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) plans to ensure minimal disruption and rapid recovery. Serves as the primary point of contact for business units and leadership, guiding the annual development of continuity strategies and plans. Oversees the organization-wide BC/DR program, including annual reviews, updates, testing, and reporting. Partners across departments to conduct Business Impact Analyses and ensures alignment with enterprise risk priorities. Manages vendor relationships to support continuity efforts and ensures compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.

To be successful in this role you must possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • A few years' (3+ preferred) experience in Risk Management to include planning, documenting, and testing Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery projects and initiatives.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels within an organization and comfortable leading meetings related to risk management topics.
  • Occasional availability after-hours for business continuity business matters.

Hiring Range: $82,000 - $111,000
