Join Virginia Housing and help make a difference as a Post Closing Specialist

This important role will perform an extensive review of loan documentation following the purchase by Virginia Housing. Additionally, the Post Closing Specialist will answer inquiries regarding programs, provide guidance to stakeholders and ensure documents follow all federal, state, insurer and Virginia Housing guidelines. This role will provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers and administer training to lenders as required.

To be successful in this role you must possess:

  • Associates Degree, related vocational/technical training or equivalent work experience
  • A few years of final/trailing document review and post-closing experience
  • Several years in the mortgage industry
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills, both written and oral communication.

 

The ideal candidate would also have experience in:

  • Proficient knowledge of federal and insuring agency guidelines, Conventional (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac), FHA, VA, and USDA Rural Development loan programs.
  • Document review with expertise in identifying missing or non-compliant documentation, including final title policies, recorded mortgages, and assignments.

Hiring Range: $54,171 – $70,422
