This important role has the pivotal role of overseeing various data management related initiatives while also directly managing the Data Analytics team that comprises of Business Data Analysts and Business Intelligence Developers to ensure data solutions align well with business strategies and the vision laid out by the organization to promote data-based decision-making effectiveness. This role will be responsible for staffing management including but not limited to the hiring of full-time and temporary personnel, career development, training, and performance management or direct reports. The Data Analytics Manager builds and maintains strong relationships with business partners and data delivery teams, while supporting the company’s data and analytics capabilities using modern cloud-based technologies and ensuring delivery of high-quality analytics solutions. They also provide the necessary leadership, research, analysis and design related to the development or procurement of technology and professional services solutions to ensure these meet business needs and align with data governance and standards.

To be successful in this role you must possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience; Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Several years in Data Analytics/Business Intelligence practice, with 3-5 years preferred: Extensive experience in leading and managing data analysis, business intelligence development and delivery, or a related data-centric delivery ownership role.
  • Previous Management experience is required, with 3-5 years preferred: Proven experience leading and managing a team of data analysts or BI developers, including performance management and career development.
  • Direct past experience working in Data Analysis or BI Development roles that this position will manage is highly beneficial, providing an understanding of day-to-day challenges and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams with various business units and IT functions (e.g., Data Governance, Data Engineering, Application Development).
  • A track record of successfully delivering complex data analysis and business intelligence projects from inception to deployment, demonstrating tangible business value.
  • Cloud data platform exposure: Proven experience working with cloud-based data platform technologies and architecture, preferably using Microsoft Azure, and related echo system products and technologies.

 

The ideal candidate would also have experience in:

  • Knowledge of financial/mortgage business data and processes is preferred but not required.
  • A Data Management, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence or similar certification from a reputed institution is preferred.

Hiring Range: $125,296 - $162,883
