Associate Accountant

This important role will be responsible for managing the majority of Virginia Housing’s accounts payable, invoice processing, employee expense management and credit card program administration including associated journal entries and vendor and general ledger reconciliations.

To be successful in this role you must possess:

• Few years of experience in accounting, finance, business administration.
• Associate's degree in accounting, finance or business preferred, but not required
• Considerable work experience in accounting, banking, or finance with a specialty in accounts payable and employee expense and credit card program administration, conflict resolution, recommending and/or abiding by internal controls, and proficiency in working with reporting.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Dynamics finance modules, and enterprise resource systems.

The ideal candidate would also have experience in:

       SAP Concur, Credit Card Administration, Accounts Payable

This is a hybrid position. 

Hiring Range: $54,171 - $70,422

A background check will be performed as a condition of employment.
