This important role will serve as a thought partner, trusted advisor, and champion on behalf of the Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) and Finance Leadership helping to prioritize strategic and operational goals. The Associate Chief will support the CFO and the Managing Directors of Capital Markets and Finance and Administration in the oversight of Virginia Housing’s financial operations and portfolio of programs, activities, and related services. They will effectively steward resources and provide support, guidance, and professional development opportunities to leadership staff in the Finance areas. This position will be responsible for identifying areas of focus and the development of metrics and key performance indicators for success. The role will also be responsible for monitoring information flow, sometimes acting as a gatekeeper, ensuring the Chief’s involvement in a project or decision-making process at the right moment. This position will monitor developments in affordable housing program creation, financing, and implementation at the federal, state, and local levels. The role serves as project manager, overseeing large, cross-functional, division-wide projects or initiatives. The position may manage and support staff within the Finance Team, including managing and supporting a Virginia Housing Fellow.

Hiring Range: $125,296 - $162,883
