Sr. Construction Control Officer

This important role supports Virginia Housing’s multifamily development by providing documentation, direction, and support related to affordable multifamily construction projects. The incumbent coordinates, reviews, and approves monthly disbursements of construction loan proceeds based on monthly progress and establishes escrows prior to loan closings.  They monitor the construction process, construction quality, and conformance with plans, specifications, and minimum construction requirements.  This position also plays a crucial role in identifying construction deficiencies and works with developers, architects, and general contractors to establish solutions.

To be successful in this role you must possess:

• Several years of experience as a construction superintendent, project manager, or building code official.
• Understanding of AIA construction documentation, familiarity with building and accessibility codes.
• Proficiency in construction means, methods, and schedules.  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project and Power Point)
• Valid driver's license

The ideal candidate would also have experience in:

• Virginia Housing Minimum Design & Construction Requirements, LIHTC Amenities, and Universal Design guidelines.

75% travel is expected.

Hiring Range: $82,383 – $107,096

A background and motor vehicle check will be performed as a condition of employment.
