Rental Housing Analyst

Join Virginia Housing and help make a difference as a Rental Housing Analyst.

This important role supports Virginia Housing’s multifamily lending efforts. The Analyst helps manage the loan process and supports Development Officers through loan application in-take, underwriting and closing. The Analyst reviews loan applications for completeness, then populates and updates Virginia Housing’s Loan Tracking Systems. The Analyst compiles rent and expense information, helps prepare internal approval documents, and tracks key dates and deliverables. The Analyst will develop an understanding of multi-family lending fundamentals and Virginia Housing Rental Programs.

To be successful in this role you must possess:

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Economics
• Basic understanding of real estate, finance and general business acumen
• Proven attention to detail and accuracy
• Innovative problem-solving ability
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. 
• Experienced in working independently and in a team environment

The ideal candidate would also have experience in:

• 1 - 2 years of work experience in multifamily or commercial real estate

• Affordable Housing or Low-Income Housing Finance
• Multifamily Lending or Development

Hiring Range: $61,074-$79,395
