Overview

Join Virginia Housing and help make a difference as a Conference Center Liaison.

This important role will oversee the daily operations and administration of Virginia Housing’s conference center, ensuring smooth coordination of events, exceptional customer service, and effective utilization of facilities and equipment technology.  The Conference Center Liaison will plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of events hosted at the conference center to include conferences, seminars, workshops, meetings, and social gatherings liaising with clients to understand their requirements, provide event planning assistance, and ensure all needs are met.  A strong knowledge of microphone, laptop, MAC Book, internet connectivity, and AV equipment is needed to support events and troubleshoot any issues.  This is a fully in-office position.

To be successful in this role you must possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent, relevant work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of a broad range of equipment such as iPads, MAC Books, microphones, AV, and laptops with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and experience with event management software.  
  • Several years’ experience (4+ years preferred) with large scale event planning, hospitality industry roles, and meeting coordination. 
  • This position requires incumbents to drive for Virginia Housing business purposes. Therefore, incumbents must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and adhere to the standards set forth in the motor vehicle related administrative regulations and Human Resources policies as a condition of continued employment.

Hiring Range: $70,233 - $91,303
