Join Virginia Housing and help make a difference as a Rental Housing – Program Business Analyst

This important role is part of our Business Solutions team in the Rental Housing Division. This team gathers analytics and designs solutions that improve business efficiency through technology and support business strategies and goals through the use of software.  The program business analyst will work directly with the business solutions manager on multiple concurrent projects to improve system functionality and departmental processes to solve business problems.  They will also be responsible for annual functions that require great attention to detail and process.

To be successful in this role you must possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, relevant work experience
  • Several years’ experience as a business or functional analyst.
  • Solid understanding of the software development process, including requirements gathering, analysis and design, development tools and technologies, release and version control, contemporary testing methodologies, and deployment management.
  • Knowledge of technology products and processes; experience in the strategic use of technology in managing and growing a business.
  • Analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively within a team setting
  • Ability to translate technical discussions into layman’s terms.
  • Ability to prioritize their work and function independently
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Basic knowledge of SQL or other data-reporting software

 

The ideal candidate would also have experience in:

  • Advanced MS Excel and proficiency with MS Visio

 Hiring Range: $80,768 - $104,996
