Overview

Join Virginia Housing and help make a difference as a Director of Rental Housing Operations.

This important role will lead and oversee the rental housing operations functions to include technology and project management, while playing a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of internal processes, systems, and infrastructure, to achieve division strategic objectives. The role will be responsible for creation and implementation of both the long-term visionary and short-term operational priorities of the rental housing operations department, which includes Asset Management, Compliance, Servicing, and Technology Solutions. The role will focus on empirically-based outcomes and establishing ongoing divisional data and performance reporting.

To be successful in this role you must possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance, or equivalent work experience
  • Many years of experience in affordable housing finance, multifamily asset management and compliance, or tax credit compliance
  • Proven track record of implementing operational efficiencies, managing cross-functional teams and delivering successful outcomes for large-scale projects and initiatives
  • Proficiency in risk mitigation, customer service, communication, project management, financial management, technology and data management 
  • Working knowledge of the affordable housing ecosystem
  • Several years of people management experience

 

The ideal candidate would also have:

  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in operations management, finance, asset management, compliance technology, project management, and/or grant management
  • Advanced degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance, or another related field

Hiring Range: $159,298 – $207,084
