This important role will manage multiple projects by planning, directing, and coordinating activities to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished within timeframe and funding parameters. They will manage these projects and efforts from initiation to close, reporting status and gaining direction for Executive Sponsorship throughout the project’s lifecycle. They ensure success by properly identifying and planning on how to solve the business need/s by gathering, analyzing, and managing business and technical requirements and other documented inputs to the project or effort, and processes for multiple concurrent programs, projects, and/or other efforts. They work with their assigned project team to manage the execution of the planned activities, including change management plans. The PM will have day-to-day responsibilities overseen by the PMO’s Manager.

To be successful in this role you must possess:

• Bachelor’s degree is required equivalent working experience. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is required.
• Moderate or greater proficiency in Microsoft Project is required.
• Both Waterfall and Agile methodology experience required.
• Previous experience working with and managing vendors as resources and contracts required.

The ideal candidate would also have experience in:

• Advanced knowledge and Experience, minimum of 7 years, preferred with extensive experience in Project Management.
• Several years of progressive experience necessary to perform as a Senior PM..
• Facilitating and conducting training within an organization.
• Client-facing, customer-oriented roles required.
• Certifications preferred or considered a plus: PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP), Agile or equivalent designation is preferred.

Virginia Housing requires associates to live and work within the Commonwealth of Virginia.

This is a hybrid position (3 days in office, 2 days remotely).

Hiring Range: $92,886 - $120,751
