The Business Intelligence (BI) Developer is an Information Technology Systems specialist who designs, develops, and maintains business intelligence solutions using data analytics platforms, reporting tools, and visualization techniques. This position works directly with executive team members, business leaders, analysts, and subject matter experts to understand data and reporting needs, identify analytics opportunities, design and implement data structures, develop data visualizations and reports to help company leadership tell impactful business stories. The Business Intelligence Developer works towards bridging the gap between business processes and business intelligence and will have responsibility to mine, summarize, and analyze data from multiple sources to help drive insights into business performance.

 

To be successful in this role you must possess:

 

Education: Bachelor's degree in BI/Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline with an information technology focus, or equivalent business intelligence experience.

 

Experience: Several years of experience in business intelligence analysis, development, and implementation utilizing BI platforms such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, SSRS or transferable skills from other industry leading tools. Several years’ experience working with Programmatic/Scripting/Query Languages including SQL. Broad experience in data warehousing, data mining, and data visualization. Demonstrated experience in developing interactive BI applications, dashboards, and reports for business end users. Experience in supporting data analytics for a Mortgage/ Financial institution preferred.

 

The ideal candidate would also have experience in:

  • Strong technical skills in Business Intelligence concepts, solutions, and best practices.
  • Excellent hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Data Bricks, SSRS and Microsoft Azure Cloud data services including Data Factory and Synapse.
  • Excellent data analysis skills including data cleansing and preparation, data exploration, complex data analysis, data narratives, and statistical knowledge.
  • Very strong hands-on experience working with data visualizations and storytelling using visuals.
  • Knowledge of the mortgage/real estate industry data and processes, combined with financial data analysis and reporting skills.
  • Experience working with relational databases, dimensional models, SQL queries, data warehouses, ETL processes, and database management systems.
  • Excellent presenter and communicator of information contained in data visualizations, reports and data analyses.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills; able to build good working relationships.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts and explain in front of technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Hiring Range: $90,181 - $117,234
