This important role will to be the lead engineer for our IT Security Team. Primary responsibilities will involve securing and hardening Virginia Housing’s On-Premises and Cloud infrastructure including, but not limited to systems, networks, endpoints, SaaS integrations, and cloud resources Additional responsibilities will include the engineering and administration of other security tools such as endpoint, cloud, and security monitoring technologies.

To be successful in this role you must possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience is required. 
•  A relevant security/security networking certification is required such as the AZ-500, CISSP, CEH. 
• Several years of experience in IT with at least six (6) years of experience in Infrastructure and with at least three (3) years of experience Information Security.
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior members of the security team, fostering their professional development and knowledge of security concepts.

The ideal candidate would also have experience in:

• Security Controls in public cloud such as Azure in relation to PaaS and IaaS
• Microsoft E5 Security Suite, Microsoft Sentinel, and Microsoft Purview 
• In two or more of the following security domains: network investigations, OSINT, threat hunting, threat intelligence, security engineering, pen testing, digital forensics (computer, memory, network, cloud, virtualization), malware analysis.
• Using Security Information Event Management (SIEM) products and technologies such as Sentinel, Splunk, Qradar, etc.

Hiring Range: $103,705 - $134,813
