The selected Officer will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and operating the grant system. This includes promoting and providing quality technical assistance, training, and guidance to external partners. The Officer will lead multiple grant programs, which involves analyzing data for designated grants, reporting, program enhancements, network communication, evaluating team claims, educating staff on various aspects of grant programs and housing-related needs, building and maintaining relationships with non-profit organizations and local, state, and federal governing bodies, and working with public and private sector entities to address priority housing needs ensuring financial and programmatic requirements are met and ensuring grantees/sub-grantees achieve successful outcomes. This important role will be responsible for all aspects of monitoring and ensuring mortgagor/owner compliance with program, loan and regulatory requirements imposed by Virginia Housing, HUD, IRS (including Section 42) and other programs as required.  Provides daily technical support and training to owners, management and site agents regarding the interpretation and application of rules and regulations governing the HUD Section 811 PRA Program, Rental Loan and Tax Credit Housing programs.  Performs compliance audits and conducts physical inspections per HUD, IRS, and NSPIRE guidelines.   Virginia Housing is one of the nation’s premier housing finance agencies.
